I use Acronis True Image 10.0 Home to back up my PC, and I love the product. I start by having TrueImage create an image of my drive and then each day, the program is scheduled to automatically do an incremental backup of just the files that have changed. Restoring the whole drive isn't difficult and if you need just one file from the backed up image, you can simply pluck it out using Windows Explorer.
The program is loaded with other hard drive utilities, including tools to migrate one drive to another drive, back up selected files and folders, and send your backup to a site by way of FTP. Version 10 is a relatively new release, but you can read a review of the previous version to get a feel for what else the program does.

A True Bargain Price
At CES, the big computer trade show, I spotted a buddy of mine, Gene Barlow. Gene was instrumental in helping start the user group revolution in the mid-eighties, and to this day, he still troops out and visits user groups. (Read about user groups in Home Office: Here's a Tip--PC User Groups Are Great and find a user group in your area here.)
One product he demos is TrueImage and he discounts it to user group members for $29. (PC World's Product Finder shows that it usually sells for about $45.) I asked if the people who read my blog qualify for the user group discount. He thought for a minute. "Yep," he said, "Consider them members."
If you place an order, you'll need to use a special code -- stevebass -- in the Order code field as you plow through the shopping cart. If you have questions, email Gene.
Even if you don't need True Image, stop by the site and read through Gene's world renowned (especially among user group members) backup tutorials.
By the way, I'm hoping you figured this out, but I get nothing out of the deal. I figure if you get a good price on software that helps you back up your system, I'll get fewer e-mails asking for help when your hard drive crashes.
also, if u dont want the bugs and problems of vista but want the same look you can download the vista skin fromthe web. i forget the address but i cant tell you the only thing the skins appearance ad vistas appearnace is that the skin doesnt have the vista sidebar which i cannot find anywhere. it has the toolbars and you can download the IE7 skin aswell but its easier if you just get the IE7 program anyway. also if you want your computer to look really cool you can get a program called StyleXP which has heaps of good themes built into it. you are supposed to pay for it but im sure theres heaps of cracks for it onthe net anyway.
