Every PC World editor attending CES submits their favorite -- and not so favorite -- products and observations. Everything's rounded up and published in Picks and Pans. It's one of my favorite CES articles.
I got a handful into the story, but missed the deadline for a bunch more. Scroll down to check out yesterday's blog, and keep reading for today's batch of Picks and Pans...
Boom Box for Your Wall: If you didn't have enough sources of loud music, here's another: SolidDrive SD1 speakers embedded into the walls, ceilings, or floors, making your whole house a throbbing, high-end speaker system. Hey honey, what's the number of that real estate lady?

Take Me Up to Your Hotel Room: I paid over $300 a night for a room in Las Vegas and all they could spare were two electrical outlets. (I'm surprised they didn't charge an extra fee to use them.) I outfoxed them by using Monster's $20 Outlets To Go. It's small -- 6.25" x 2.25" x 1.8" -- and fits in my notebook carrying case; flip out the power cord to expose a four-outlet power strip.

Winner -- What Were They Thinking: It's the gaudy Cellular Bracelet -- the "Fashion for the Future." It's tacky, sure, but talk about loony -- the silly thing is designed to flash when you get a call. Not dopey enough for you? No problem. The bracelet also flashes while you're making a call. I suspect even hard-core cell phone talkers at Starbucks will ask you to leave. It's $21, comes in three colors, and no, I won't model it.

Definitely a Fashion Statement
