It's a problem I've encountered more than once: Trying to take a picture of Judy and me by balancing the camera on a rock, campground table, or tree limb.
The $25 Quick Pod provides a clever work-around. Attach your camera to a telescoping rod, set the camera's self-timer, extend the tripod, and say cheese. Unlike the heavy duty tripod I occasionally lug around, this puppy weights 3.5 ounces and easily hangs from my daypack. For $30, you might opt for the model with adapter legs.
The home page has an annoying video that can't be stopped, so instead, head here to see how to use the tripod as well as here for the specs.

That doesn't look like you and Judy :)
