Time Killer: Captchas for Adults (Take Two)

Posted by Steve Bass | Tuesday, December 05, 2006 9:07 AM PT

Last week I set a couple of blogs to post in the future so I could grab a few days of R&R. Before I left I had a nagging feeling that I missed something, but couldn't remember what it was. I found out today when I got home and my buddy Rod told me a left out the all important Hotcaptcha URL.

Here it is, along with a screen capture. The original posting is below the dotted line.

You know those annoying sites where you have to prove you're not a spam bot by deciphering number and letter combinations, and typing them into a field? They're called "captchas."

Typical, boring Captcha

I found a site that uses Hotcaptcha, a new method that's pleasing, even, dare I say it, fun to use. The captcha goal is to pick out three hot people. The site has versions for men and woman (click "switch to men" at the bottom of the images). Who knows, you might even recognize someone -- maybe even your spouse...

BTW, there's even a way to use these captchas on your site. Check the code at the bottom of the page.
