iPods and Hearing Loss (Say What?)

Are you listening to your iPod -- or even an ancient Creative Rio MP3 Player?

Think about turning down the volume. Seriously.

The big news is that many people -- youngsters and older folks -- are risking a hearing loss by listening to tunes that are too loud. That's according to the Mayo Clinic, and apparently even Congress is listening. Congressman Edward Markey (D - Massachusetts) wants to know more about the dangers of listening to loud music.

I always try to keep the volume down on my iRiver, because I'd like to be able to hear the music 20 years from now!

I listen at about 25%. When using the speakers, I listen real loud.
