Buying an iPhone on Day One?

One week from tonight, a bunch of us here at PC World will be waiting in line at Apple Stores and AT&T stores to buy--or at least
try to buy--iPhones. We'll be doing it partially to snag us some phones to write about, but also to cover whatever craziness may transpire when the things go on sale. (If nothing bizarre happens, it's going to be a really disappointing night.)
We won't be the only members of the PCW community on the iPhone hunt on the 29th, of course. And we'd love to get some reports from anybody out there who's part of the craziness. If you plan to try and buy an iPhone next week and would like to tell us about your experiences--in words, pictures, or video--drop me a line.
whats an iphone?
Standing in line to buy...a cell phone?? I guess "craziness" is the right word for that.
What's the difference between this and standing in line for playoff tickets, Letterman shows, dance bars and nightclubs, keynote addresses, Springsteen concerts, or Wii/XBox/Playstation premieres? I wouldn't, but I wouldn't pass judgment on those who think it's important enough for them to do it. The smarmy arrogance of these two posts reflect their authorship: Folks who think they're too good for the rest of humanity. Have fun in your solitude, wisecrackers.
