A few quick notes:
* The default download also includes Apple's QuickTime--if you don't want it, or already have a current version, be sure and select the QT-free version of Safari.
* Jobs said that Safari will be bundled with iTunes, but the current iTunes 7 download doesn't seem to have it. Presumably, the bundling will happen when Safari 3 is final.
* I was hoping for a super-simple migration feature for IE and Firefox users. And you'd think making the transition as easy as possible would be in Apple's interest. Such a feature doesn't seem to exist, at least in this beta, but there is a plain ol' Bookmark Import option. Which I haven't tried yet.
[UPDATES: As commenter Nisheldon notes below--thanks!--Safari's migration is so super-simple I didn't notice it had happened. Also, Steve Jobs did not say that Safari will be distributed with iTunes--he was simply noting that Apple can get millions and millions of Windows users to try its software when it puts its mind to it.)
We'll be back with a real hands-on look at Safari for Windows, but for now a silly little poll:
Click on the little open book icon in the top left of the bookmark bar. In the side bar that appears you'll see all your existing IE and Firefox bookmarks were already imported by Safari upon install. Apple just didn't tell you about it. :-)
I love the speed and the design and everything but how the heck do I get Korean fonts to show up on this browser? Everytime I go to a Korean webpage it doesn't show the fonts.
Plus every time I enter text in the search box it crashes!!
