The 50 Most Important People on the Web

webvips.jpg
At PC World, we like making lists...from the 25 Worst Products of All Time to the 25 Most Innovative Products of the Year. People seem to like 'em, too--many of them rank among the most popular articles we've ever posted.

Our newest list is the 50 Most Important People on the Web, which posts today. I'm guessing that it'll be hugely popular. And I'm also guessing that almost nobody will agree with all 50 of our picks--and that many folks will think that we shoulda come up with a significantly different list.

That's sort of the point of these articles. (If everybody agreed on who the most important people on the Web were, there'd be no reason for us to compile such a list--you'd just know.) My guess is that you'll concur with some of our picks--a number of which are in escapable--but that you'll also question some of them, and wonder why we didn't name other people.

Like I say, that's the method in our madness. Go read, and post a comment to tell us where we went wrong and/or right. Our goal is to update this list as time goes on, so if thinik it's off base, we're listening and taking notes....
