Live From DEMO

I'm here in Phoenix for the DEMO show, a launchpad for innovative new products and companies. (Full disclosure: It's put on by a sister company of PC World.) I'll report in on stuff as I learn about it.

The first two demos at this year's DEMO:

* MooBella, a high-tech vending machine that dispenses scoops of ice cream. Looks like something you can't judge until you've tasted the results. Which I hope to do before the show is over.

* Blurb, an interesting print-on-demand service that provides software designed to let ordinary folks create cookbooks, "blogbooks," and other publications easily and fairly cheaply. Looks cool.

More to come...
