Your Photo on a Blanket or Pillow

The PMA show may be about new cameras, but it's also about new things you can do with photos--some of which are pretty offbeat. A company called TreasureKnit was promoting its photo blanket service, which turns your digital photo into a blanket with the image woven right in. Here's my bad photograph of one of their samples:

The blankets are available in two sizes and a couple of levels of quality; prices start at $90. The company plans to start selling towels soon, too.

Meanwhile, another company called PersonalizedPillows was talking about its...personalized pillows. As with TreasureKnit, you upload a photo; for $40, you get back a pillow with the picture printed on it.

Blankets, towels, pillows--how long until we see photo bedsheets and throw rugs?

Pure Country Weavers has reduced the price of its 100% cotton jacquard woven photo throw blankets to $60. These are generously sized at 54x70. This is a full sized blanket that is woven with over six miles of colored cotton treads to achieve dramatic color representation. There is no substitute for color and quality. Call Victoria Morris at 828-859-9916 to see the difference color makes.
