Good news for all those who have lost faith in the power of the Internet - it work!
Netflix was reportedly going to do away with its user profiles feature, but after much outcry from you, the DVD rent-by-mail company will be keeping its profile feature and has now even decided to improve it.
The Netflix profiles feature is a way for multiple users to have maximum control over a single Netflix account. This allows people to keep separate queues, shipping schedules, favorites and more underneath a single Netflix account. This can be very beneficial for families with varied tastes in movies.
Last month Netflix decided to cancel the profiles feature citing that it was too complicated and went against Netflix's mission of making the service the easiest way to rent movies. After that the people spoke. That announcement alone resulted in 1284 comments and numerous posts on blogs popped up all across the Internet.
And now Netflix has decided to keep the profiles feature for the time being and even look to improve it and make it even more user-friendly. Netflix deserves a round of applause for doing something that many, many companies don't, and that is listening to the Internet.
Listening to the internet? More accurately, listening to their CUSTOMERS. Something that is rarely done these days.
Also the reason I wouldn't deal with the Blockbuster idiots if it were free.
Unfortunately, class is not contagious.
Listen up Comcast, Blockbuster, etc.
