It's especially strange that Microsoft's Windows Mobile operating system is currently the operating system of choice for PDA smartphones, but the company isn't going out of its way to get involved in open-source.
Sure, Microsoft will likely develop some of its most popular applications like the Office suite for the open source platforms like Google Android, but all is quiet in the world regarding Microsoft's own mobile platform, Windows Mobile, which is close to its seventh revision.
