Starting tomorrow, PlayStation 3 owners will have access to Sony's new "highly interactive, monthly lifestyle gaming program," Qore. The entire project seems to be a vehicle through which Sony can push game demos, Blu-ray trailers, and other downloadable content behind the thin veil of a high definition TV show.

Qore will be hosted by Veronica Belmont, who's been part of web-based video shows and podcasts such as Revision 3's Tekzilla, human-powered search engine, Mahalo's Mahalo Daily Podcast, and CNET's Buzz Out Loud.

Aside from demos and downloadable content, Qore will also feature gaming industry news and interviews with game developers. The whole idea sounds fine in theory and would probably otherwise be a good move for Sony, except that the company's decided to charge people for access to Qore. It'll cost $2.99 for a single episode, or $24.99 for an annual subscription made up of 13 shows.

Paying customers will get "special access to game demos, special beta invitations, game add-ons and other downloadable game-related content." It'll be interesting to see if this "special" content turns out to be worth the relatively hefty price of admission, especially when game demos are usually free.
