The 3G iPhone rumor mill is moving into hyper-drive with fresh reports and "confirmations" that Steve Jobs will pull the faster version of the Jesus phone out of his pocket June 9 at Apple's World Wide Developers Conference. With Zen like certainty Gizmodo says the 3G iPhone will debut. But is the 3G iPhone reveal at Apple's WWDC a done deal?

Information Week isn't so sure. It's reporting the iPhone is still under FCC review, and the 3G will go nowhere without approval from the regulatory body. Rumors about a faster iPhone have been swirling ever since first-generation supplies started dwindling in May. As anticipation mounted, Apple representatives confirmed the iPhone was out of stock, but blamed the shortage on "higher than anticipated demand in the post-holiday buying environment" with no comment on the 3G iPhone rumors.
