MPC Completes Acquisition of Gateway's Professional Business

Sometimes, things in the PC industry move at lightspeed. Barely a month after the deal was first announced, MPC says it has completed its acquisition of Gateway's Professional business. The acquisition includes all of Gateway's existing products; MPC says it will migrate the products to the MPC brand within the year. When announced, the deal itself didn't surprise me--MPC has long had a strong presence with business and government customers. Now, MPC gains its former competition's leased final assembly facility in Nashville, TN. MPC says it will now handle all outstanding warranty support previously attached to Gateway's Professional Business.
