Apple Event: New Shuffles, Wider Nano. $149 4GB, $199 8GB

The entire iPod line gets a refresh for the holiday season.

iPod Shuffle

• Starting at the bottom, Apple will roll out Shuffles in a variety of new colors with the same 1GB of storage. There's also now a RED Shuffle for $79.

iPod Nano

• It looks like the wider Nano is a reality. This guy sports a 2-inch, 320x240 screen. Highlights include greater storage, support for video, an all-metal design, a Coverflow interface, and built-in games.
• 4GB model for $149 and 8GB for $199.
• Battery life rated at 24 hours for audio playback and 5 hours for video.
