How Sick Are You of Paris Hilton?

Posted by Anne B. McDonald | Wednesday, May 09, 2007 1:45 PM PT

I probably shouldn't even stoop to mentioning her name, but I see that Ms. Utterly Useless has a blog entry on her MySpace page supporting a petition effort under way to get the governor of California to help her skip serving her jail time.

What prompted me to blog is that supposedly 12,000 people have signed this thing! World, wake up! Rid us of this blight.

So here's a little equal time push for a different petiton: Jail Paris Hilton.

This petition asks, in part, that: "Governor Schwarzenegger to ignore other petitions asking for clemency and show the people of California that no one is above the law. This petition asks that Governor Schwarzenegger do everything in his power to ensure that Paris Hilton serve her full 45-day sentence."

I'm sure these petitions won't make any difference either way. But really, couldn't we all use a brief vacation from Ms. Hilton in June and July?

Lock her down. Give her a taste of the REAL LIFE. Heck, I'll even send her commissary money for YoYo's and Wham Wham's. Maybe she might learn a new profession, like....greasing someone's head, scratching it or even braiding hurah. YOU GO GIRL.

I can understand as to how Paris Hilton feels though. A few years ago. I was in an accadent. No one was hurt though. And it was my own fault. Anyway. My Drivers Liscence was past due. And I did not have proof of insurance on me. And I went before the city judge. And she told me pay the fine of $ 250. And get your drivers liscence renewed. If you do not you will have to go to jail for 10 days. And personaly the thought of that to me. Was pretty scarie to me. All in all. I did pay my fine. And I got my drivers license renewed. So word to the wise. May sure that when and if you get a driveing ticket. May sure that you read and understand

Frankly I'd like a web browser that automatically ignores any content that mentions Paris (the city too, the French bore me), Brad, Lindsey, Nicole, Britney or K-fed-up-with-this-idiot.

that way I can concentrate on exploding stars, Dafur, Lucinda Williams, Nanotech, Breast Cancer, Hydrogen economy, and all the other things that really interest me..

Paris and all the other spoiled children are just boring, boring, boring....

Free Paris Hilton! She must serve jail time, because some portion of the public lack the willpower simply to ignore what they envy unbearably ... er, I mean, what they are "tired of"? The punishment is disproportionate to the crime. That's the only relevant consideration.

Paris Hilton breaks driving laws not once, but twice, and apparently thinks that firing her speaker is punishment enough because he supposedly told her that it was OK to drive for work purposes. How stupid does one have to be to not read a one page legal agreement that one signs in the presence of a police officer? Her petition is based upon the idea that because other celebrites have not been prosecuted for DUI that justifies her getting away with it too.

Besides being just plain sick of her and all the media bandwidth she steals with her "rich idiot as celebrity" image, she should be jailed simply for including the sentence "She provides beauty and excitement to (most of) our otherwise mundane lives" in her petition. Thanks for showing us what you really think of those who aren't celebrites simply because they are in line to inherit millions upon millions just by being born in the right family .

Frankly, I think we should keep our jails for violent criminals and stop filling them up with this type of crap. As a tax payer I don't want to spend one cent more for housing petty criminals and spoiled brats like Paris. I have a much better idea for scoff-laws like Paris Hilton. How about 45 days serving in a downtown soup kitchen...no cameras, no paparazzi, no makeup, no pefume, no fancy hairdos, no mascara. Just a tooth brush, soap and deoderant. Sensible, frumpy clothing and strict modest dress standards to be provided, and she has to take the bus home every evening. Also the only food she can eat for 45 days is the food she serves to her clientele.

Burn, bitch. It's not about DWI, or any of the other shenanigans she gets her self into, but the arrogance she displays: "Because I am filthy rich, I can get away with it."

I feel sorry for her, and others of her ilk; they have no escape door to climb down from the publicity flagpole they created for themselves. With great wealth comes great responsibility. Too bad, girl, no one ever taught you the value of human life. What if you drove down a person, injuring them for life, or worse?

If the paparazzi would only leave them alone (fat chance), these overpriveleged brats might begin to lead normal (for them) lives. Small wonder she drinks, and everything else I've seen her do. I say treat her like everyone else, and toss her in the slammer.

I think the suggestion of her actually going to serve the poor in a soup kitchen or maybe cleaning city streets in those cute yellow jumpsuits would be enough to let this person taste bread - as opposed to cake a la Marie-Antoinette (debunked). Anyway, one does tend to feel sorry for the poor rich kid, with her empty shallow look-at-me-I'm blond-and-so-useless life. What an absolute waste of space!

For our children who seem to idolize these poor souls, Paris should have to go to jail. It is only right! If that was one of us, "average" american citizens who commited the crime that she did there wouldn't be any questions. Put her away!

Paris needs to woman up, Martha did it, Lil Kim did it, not to mention that countless other celebs that have done it. With as much money as ahe has she could have paid for a cab. She endangered the lives of other people and should have to pay for it. If we let her off then everybody else is going to expect to walk away. Besides she is going for 45 days (WOW) and will have specially prepared meals and be away from the general population. Lets stop feeling sorry for her and instead hope that hse learns something from all this like to grow up and stop acting like a spoiled little brat. Let's show her and other celebs that they are not above the law.

This air-headed little sparrow fart makes me sick. I think 45 days on the ground in al Anbar Province would do nicely. Send her buddy LL along too.

What a bunch of HATERS!
Does Paris deserve more time bcoz she is overexposed in the media? Regardless of your feelings on Paris as a person she does not deserve 45 days with no buy outs, community service, or option for house arrest. No normal person would have gotten that sentence for a first offense.
I have friends who have multiple DUIs & they never served more than a few hours in jail. I know someone who on their 2nd DUI in less than 2 years got house arrest & was still able to drive to work everyday. These people were not celebrities, no wealthy, not community leaders, just everyday normal people.
Mel Gibson got probation & he insulted an officer with his DUI. Glen Campbell assulted an officer with his DUI & got 10 days. Many celebrities as well as normal people have done the same or much worse & got nothing more than a slap on the hand.
If and when you, your friend, or family member gets in this same situation as Paris I hope the Judge is compassionate towatds you.
