Handmark, a mobile content developer and distributor, announced the fourth edition of its Pocket Express at CTIA today. The company adds a new travel portal (shown below on the BlackBerry 8700c) to its existing suite of mobile content, which includes news, sports, weather, stocks, directory search, movie times, maps with turn-by-turn directions, and MobileCierge (a concierge service). The new edition will be available in the late spring.

The travel section includes information on flight schedules from the Official Airline Guide database, travel-related phone numbers, currency conversion for 164 currencies that are tracked and updated daily, hotel search using Hotel.com, and flight status. All but the flight status option are included in the free edition of Pocket Express. Flight status delivers up-to-the-minute arrival and departure information--such as terminal, gate, and baggage claim details--to your smartphone. To get the flight status option, you'll need to subscribe to Handmark's $6.99-a-month (or $69.90-per-year) Pocket Express Executive suite.
Pocket Express is compatible with BlackBerrys, Palm Treos, RAZRs, and Windows Mobile devices. The company plans to offer a version for Symbian Series 60 platform in late summer.
