Mozilla just came by to talk about Firefox 2.0 and casually mentioned they were making release candidate 2 available today. You can download it now from
Mozilla's site, or if you're already using last weeks's 2.0 release candidate 1 you should eventually get prompted to install the new version. I just manually ran a check for updates under the Help menu and got it.
Release candidates are for polishing and fixing before a final release, so RC2 should look almost exactly like RC1, which I wrote about in a
previous blog post.
Mozilla said there might be one more release candidate before the final 2.0 version, which should be out in the "next few weeks."
