Google's Online Payment Service Coming Soon?

Rumors have swirled for months about the possibility of Google launching an online payment service to rival the likes of PayPal. According to a recent Forbes.com story, Google's is indeed readying such a service. Known as GBuy, the payment service will launch June 28, Forbes says. According to the report, it won't be a direct PayPal competitor; instead, e-shoppers will be taken off the merchant's site--and on to Google's site--to complete their payment. Stay tuned.
