The pre-E3 announcements have begun to roll in with Nintendo today confirming that its forthcoming DS Lite handheld gaming device will be available in the US on June 11 for $130.
At 216 grams (about 7.6-ounces), the DS Lite is around 20 percent lighter than the original Nintendo DS and approximately two-thirds the size. The DS Lite will also include increased brightness adjustment levels for the two screens to extend battery life (stated to be up to 19 hours). Other improvements include a longer stylus, repositioned start and select buttons and a removable cartridge cover to protect against dust.
