Wireless Cameras Fail to Wow

We tested three cameras with WiFi connectivity for our new Top 10 Point-and-Shoot Cameras
chart. Sounds like a good idea, being able to transfer photos without a USB cable. But despite having this novel feature, none of the WiFi cameras made our chart: the
Canon PowerShot SD430,
Nikon Coolpix P1, and
Nikon Coolpix P2.
One reason these cameras missed our chart is that none of them come cheap. The first two cost $500; the P2 costs $400. That's a lot of dough considering that you can get high quality photos from the $230
Olympus FE-120, which took very impressive photos in our tests. Also, the WiFi cameras weren't frugal with their batteries. Each camera lasted only 200 or so shots before calling it quits.
