TagWorld wants your artists.
If you're heavy into music, you have probably heard of
MySpace, a social-networking site with an active community of musicians. Bands that don't have major labels to toot their horns can put up music and videos for MySpace members to download and comment on. The comments can be ruthless, which is of course what makes the whole business more "real" and vastly entertaining.
Enter
TagWorld, another social networking site. An advertising driven site, it lets members put up 1GB worth of blogs, pictures, and Web pages for free. As of this past Monday, it launched a section for musicians--who can put up multi-page Web sites and upload up to 1GB of music tracks for you to check out. Also, TagWorld allows bands to see who's listening to their music (so long as you opt to share some basic demographic information), so they can really track whether they're big in Belgium.
Have an opinion on TagWorld? Anyone besides me think the term "social networking" is completely devoid of humanity? Chime in below.
i checked out that site, total waste of 20 minutes
Yep I'm On Tag World And It's Good Only One Problem The Music Player Isn't Random Play. You Have To Do It Yourself It Only Plays One Song And You Have To Do The Rest. Bit Of A Bummer Especially Early Mornings All You Want To Do Is Play Music While You're Getting Ready For Work And You Have To Keep Running Up To The Computer To Play The Next Track. But It's A Good Website.
Ihate it
i agree with 'mark'. the site is terrible and a total waste of time.
I... I don't know what anyone is talking about above... I like it. Better than MySpace. There's more thigns to do, more customizing options, and you CAN infact play music in random order. Hate it if you must, but I don't know why anyone would.
You know I been on myspace for a while and I think I might be switching over to Tagworld, I just feel like it lets you do a whole lote more.
Tagworld does not support Linux and open source. It rather supports corporate giant Microsoft's approach of ".net"
How can a site claim it's about community if it rather supports private businesses than reaching out to the free exchange of ideas and information.
Support the online community and open source. Linux, Apache, MySql, etc.. and maybe the community will support Tagworld too..
I like Tag MORE then myspace, at least you know who is visiting your page which is great.
Tag is good so is myspace but myspace always has problems with something then they shut the site just to fix something all the time. Myspace is becoming B/S
WTF Hell Naw Myspace Is Better Then this Shit. This U can't Even Look For No One U Want WTF Is The Use If U can't Find Someone On Her.
i love tagworld... you can do wayyyyy more than myspace. i mean, a lot of their features are still on the way (such as search options and whatnot) because, let's face it, they've only been around for like 7 months!!! i think they're doing pretty good thus far considering myspace has been around for like 5 years! watch out bc i hear they're launching a bigger music project!
but yeah, by the end of this year i would expect tagworld has worked out a lot of kinks.
Yup, tagworld totally rocks, i think it is easy to use with the tools they have to build ur own page. I really like the photo albums with all the cool and different slide shows. Tagworld is all very easy to use website for anyone or just starters too.
Ive been on myspace for over a year now and two months ago I decided to give Tagworld a try..I can honestly say that I like tagworld more...The tagworld features are awesome.. It's great to be able to host your own audio & video files on your own tagworld site..and the pages load a lot quicker then the pages at myspace and they also offer users a ecommerce online store option to add to their tagworld site if they are trying to start a online business, and it's free!...
tagworld.. why, because there's 49 million fewer as@ho$$s on it..
TAGWORLD is so much better than myspace. sure myspace HAS BEEN around for a while tagworld will improve over time, maybe PAST myspace. AND IT HAS CHANGED SINCE ITS LAUNCH DATE. I SHOULD KNOW THIS
i just dont know what **** problem was tho
sry for posting the same thing twice^^''

Well, Myspace is owned by Rupert Murdoch. Ya know, owner of Fox News. And their new terms of service say that Myspace owns any content you put up on it - including your songs, writing, poetry, images, etc. It's all a matter of which one's worse. I think I may give Tagworld a try.
I have been a member of myspace for quite some time now, and it's just so hard to switch from it to tagworld, considering that the community is so small sompared to MySpace's network. TagWorld aslo doesn't let you do an extremely awesome layout like on MySpace.
the main reason I won't be using tagworld is because they have a history of spamming their users. hell, the foudners used to run an adware business before this.
Were do i find some new MS layouts?
Thanks,
Steve
Tagworld is a great place to meet new people. Their set system is far superior to any other server out there. However since their joining with Flux they have left millions of customers in the dark. They no longer have a sign up page. There are suppose to be some "good" developments with their merger with Flux; so far there have been none so far. This company is making for bad business by not informing the millions of customers to at least inform whether or not is staying or is dying.
