A followup on my earlier blog on Mac Mini KVM switches: Browsing a few Mac user sites on this topic, I ran across a few complaints about IOGear's $59
MiniView Micro USB Plus KVM, when used with the Mac Mini and a PC.
I've used this small box for a couple of months now and am pretty happy with it. It doesn't take up much space, and switching from the keyboard works every time. The only knock on this setup is that I have to wiggle the mouse sometimes to wake the Mini out of power-saving mode. But I don't think I can blame that on the switch.
Another solution from Belkin, recently announced and due out in a month or two, sounds even better: A KVM box about the same size as the USB hub I mentioned above, that will also fit under the Mac Mini. I do, however, have visions of my Mini eventually standing a foot tall with all of the accessories underneath it. A self-defeating proposition.
