JVC had an interesting announcement this morning in New York--a new series of the company's Everio camcorders that record directly to a hard disk.
They won't be available until late summer (darn it), but JVC says the new Everio G Series camcorders record will come in 20 and 30 gigabyte versions.
And the price and size seem to be right also, starting at $800 and weighing less than 1 pound. They all appear to have a 2.5-inch flip-out LCD monitor. Here's what one looks like from front and left:
The $800 GZ-MG20 comes with the 20GB hard disk; the $900 GZ-MG30 is equipped with the 30GB hard disk. The 20GB GZ-MG40 ($900) and the 30GB GZ-MG50 ($1,000) appear to come with a 1.33 Megapixel CCD. (JVC says all prices are approximate.)
Here's a link to more info about the various camcorders' specs. We're already trying to get them in for testing!
I really except your company to be on top of things and have already reviewed these products. They already have a new one coming out that has 3ccd.
I have recently purchased the GZ-MG30U and I am very pleased with it. It will take a little time for me to learn how to use all the options it is equipped with, but I expect to have fun learning.
I picked up this particular model from Dell for just under $700. And I believe it to be well worth it. i
I have spent the last month trying to burn a dvd with the Cyberlink software. No go. I have been on line with the Cyberlink tech support - you have to pay $30 to actually talk with a person, which I refuse to do since I expect the software to work with out having to pay to figure it out. At this point I am still unable to burn a DVD and will return the camcorder
can anybody tell me an easy way to transfer videa from the hard drive onto my computer.
thanks
paul
