Xbox 360 came out way too early.. It isn't going to do well... They didn't back it up with enough stuff. The PS3 I think will win the NextGen system race. I'm hoping the Revolution does though...

The gameboy mini looks cool enough, but its really nothing new. I'd say it is an attempt to take sales away from the psp, which is a good strategy. I can't wait to see the revolutions graphics. Go, Nintendo!

PS3 will cost a little less than 500 dollars. In Japan it will cost 465 dollars. The PSP costs 160 in japan and in US it is 250. i think its safe to say that the PS3 will be more than 465

I would agree on the music downloads and other crap like that. I just want a game system that plays games. I don't need to watch DVD's, play music on it or even download music. I already have a DVD, CD player and I don't wanna pay extra bucks for another one. Just something that will play games.

You know what eats me, that Microsoft ripped Apple off in creating the xbox 360, its got a G5 Processor, when you click the xbox button on the controller it bring up a 'dashboard' of links (widgets) to different things the system can to, its got the same mac look, and they actually went out and bought some of Apple's PowerPC G5 Towers to begin programing the next generation games on. Microsoft is a parasite, anything good they create is stolen from someone else. Gates didn't even create DOS, he just bought it from his college room mate before he dropped out. Once again Nintendo Dropped the Ball. They will have to settle for a distant third in home consoles but since they generally see more profits on units sold than either Sony or microsoft they will manage. Too bad 3rd place isn't glorified!

Nintendo has a lot more great games than either Sony or Microsoft, and as long as it's considerably cheaper than the X-Box 360 and the PS3, i think it's gonna be the best out there. I'm looking forward to buying it.

Nintendo is the past, present & futures of gaming. If you want an Ipod/mp3player/dvdplayer/camera/whatever, why are yoy buying a gaming console? But thats another topic altogether. PS3 is pretty ugly and way to expensive for me. Xbox 360 is looking pretty good, but it's not much different from an Xbox. Even the controllers are the same. I don't know enough about Revolution to say anything yet, so I'll wait on that.

I agree with a lot of people that consoles with way too many features (such as PSP) are needless... Also I don't trust Microsoft lol and the PS3 looks way too expensive... I'll just stick with good ol' Nintendo. I love their games, even if they're a little kiddy sometimes, and they have all the good stuff like Zelda, Metroid, Mario, etc. And Final Fantasy returning to Nintendo sounds GREAT.

I'd like to say i never really liked sony. They feature a bunch of sleazy games. Nintendo and Microsoft have got the best of all. Halo 3 and all of the new games comin' out for the 360 are going to rock! I also expect Nintendo to have a lot of potential. The best thing would be if they would join forces and crush sone. OK, I will admit that the new systems are looking pretty cool, but really why does anyone need a DVD player or anything else like that.

First I think that the idea of downloading NES, SNES, and N-64 is totaly awesome but I think they will kind of go back to the 7 year old kids games. I mean, they kind of disapointed me with the Nintendo DS. It was for my 8 year old sister!

Second XBox never really attracted me so I don't think that im going to buy the XBox 360. Although they are gonna have Tony Hawks American Wasteland and Halo 3 which will kill the market

Lastly, I've always stuck with Sony from the day PS1 came out. I think this is the sytem I'm going to buy because when PS1 came out, it rocked the gaming industry with Crash Bandicoot and Tony Hawk games, and it was the first to revelutionize gaming with the disc's. Also PS2 rocked!

Overall I'm thinking it over and i just might buy the Revelution because of the old school games like Super Mario Bros.

All I can say is wow! What is with you sony and m$ fanboys who are against nintendo. For you guys, a great game means an endless supply of weapons that each allows you to blow somebody's head off and make the blood gush in a different style. Does an E or T rating draw you away from the game? I assure you that if you were actually look for good games, a majority of them would be E or T. Mabye it's just the graphics on a game. It doesn't matter if the games for the system are ****, as long as it has a bigger hard drive than the other system. I assure you that if you played the Wind Waker, it would be your nomine for best graphics on the Gamecube. Also, Saruto Iwata doesn't create M games (not including Geist) because he knows that there are actual gamers in this world who play a game for the gameplay, and his games have all ruled from the start in the 80's. I for one, am looking forward to the Revolution's innovation, rather than some upgrade to what we already own.

Man, you guys are completely stupid. You should be praising Nintendo right now! They kept the video game industry alive back in the 80's, and you wouldn't even have your Halo or Jak and Daxter, or even Xbox or PS2 for that matter. All it really comes down to is the games, not the functionality. It seems that most mainstream gamers care about now is shooting stuff and graphics. That's where Nintendo wins all the way. They have the best video game franchises (And still do) and the best part is that they are still around. Don't tell me that you have never played any Mario game in your life, I know you have. You can call it "Stupid" or "Kiddy" all you want, but man, those games are extremely challenging! Have you ever played Super Mario Sunshine? Thought not. I don't think the revolution will be that impressive since Iwata keeps denying to put any specs out. This could mean two things the hardware for the revolution isn't even done or it just can't compete with the PS3 or Xbox 360.

Get the PS3 for POWER

Get the Xbox 360 for Halo (obviously) or cause it's first

Get the Revolution for trademark characters (Mario, Zelda, Samus)

I think Microsoft and Sony are going in the right direction. If any of the three are going down its Nintendo. The PSP alone will keep Sony above the water, with all of it's gizmos and extras, I think they were the first to realize that we really don't need the smallest portable possible, we want features, graphics, and good games, all of which the PSP delivered beautifly. As for Microsoft, From what I've read they have so many special features and good games lined up for the new system that I don't believe they need their huge fan base to sell the 360. Truthfully, I don't like the name of the the new Nintendo platform or the X-boxes sequel. Oop, shoulkdnt have incorprated opinion so much. Anyway, The 360 isn't all peaches and cream, the upgradable memory storage, online maps and game upgrades, and interchangerable face plates all seem wonderfull, but, they come at a price, money. Special maps and upgrades are at your disposal if you fork over the dough. It makes Microsoft seem like a bunch of money hungry... guys.

The thing is that by releasing the xbox 360 earlier they are doing what sony essentially did. By releasing their product before the others they can sell their product without competition AND have a wider fan base by the time the competing conbsoles come out. And you have to remember that sony, microsoft, and nintendo all promised GREAT features for their previous consoles but didnt deliver. The products that you are seeing are simply concepts. Although they play, to mass produce something of that cost is almost impossible. Only sony and xbox's product seem concievable. The Nintendo is to small for the processing chip it requires and the wireless controler ports. the xbox however is larger and has WAY more processing power that even a computer. Yeah...... The Revolution looks awesome. I think that Nintendo was caught by surprise, and did not have time to do the extra crap that the other companies have.

I'll probably get the PS3 first, which is the best well rounded system. The Xbox 360 is not concentrating on the gaming. I have that as my last choice.

As for the Revolution........... We'll see how it goes...

the consoles may be great for a short time period but as usual all will become 2nd place to the pc in about 6 months with all the new amd 64 x2 cpu the next gen graphics cards, and then they'll be collecting dust again in the corner, personnally though the revolution is the way to go. and kids games only! come on people have you ever played eternal darkness and the resident evil games or for that matter the starwars rogue series. all were amazing. sony and ms release to many crap games an not enough good quality games i know as have had all consoles and some point, but i always keep my nintendos.

Hey well im looking forward to the xbox 360 for a few reasons i just love hack and slash games and i love the fact that a good 50% of xbox games allow you to play your own music to them unlike the ( sometimes) crappy background music. Though ps3 will rock those who are hardcore nintendo will keep everything going like they always do im all for eahc of them and guy do not fight they all have strengths and weaknesses

Yeah, the 360 is cool and all, but I don't know if it's just me or does it kinda, sorta looks like a computer tower? For me I think I'll stick to Nintendo they seem so know what they are doing with gameing systems.

First of all, I just want to say how I am a huge Playstation fan. The PS2 controllers are small, all buttons are easily acessible and there are not many buttons. Alos, you don't need to play for online play for Playstation where XBox a fee is required. The PSP rocks because it can play DVD movies, songs, games and more. The display is big and crisp. There even an analog stick on it! The Nintendo Micro is small and has a mere two-inch screen! The graphics are probably horrible! This screen is comparable to the 2000 cell phone screens. I must give credit to the Nintendo Revolution though. I like the idea of playin NES, SNES, N64, and GameCube Games. Its size is cool too. This is a system to look into along with the PS3. Although I love my PlayStations, PS3 doesn't wow me. But, I still think its a better bet then the XBOX 360. I love the idea of it being fully customizable and the power button is on the controller but I hate the controllers! Their huge and have too many buttons that aren't that easy to access. If Micrsoft didn't come out with the Halo series, XBOX would have went bankrupt. PlayStation2 has so many more and better games. Just wondering, did anyone ever see the new PS2---its so small and is already internet-capable!!!!! I love it!

I like my systems pretty equally but i've been disappointed w/ the D.S and the cube hasn't made many good games in a while. the sp is much better. larger screen, flip screen to prevent scratching. the psp is good, but there is a limited amount of games. you can't play mario or fire emblem on it, but the graphics rock and it can play ps games, not discs, but like mlb and nba. nintendo is trying 2 keep up, but they are dead. all this new stuff is just taking people by surpise

I think that people are missing the point of video game consoles. Remeber back to the days of atari and really bad graphics. We still played those games religiously. I remeber spending hours on the first final fantasy, battletoads, megaman, and sonic. They were all great games. No one cared about how good the specs of the system was going to be. We looked for the games, the ones that were most enjoyable. So what if X-Box 360 has badass processors and spectacular graphic cards. I haven't seen much of anything to play on it from the first X-Box except for Halo. We should look at all the systems and see what would be the most enjoyable. For me, I'm already making my list of all the old nintendo games that I would download if I got the revolution.

I don't know what new cheap attempt at something actualy worth mentioning X-box and Play Station are trying to assemble with what little and simple technology they have but I know that they both suck and are a lowsy excuse of world wide electronics! They don't stand a chance against Nintendo!

1: I have a psp and DS. The PSP has a lot or cr** on it but i like the fact u can store music. the DS has WarioWare Touched wit the touch screen and its awsome.
2: I had PS and have PS2. PS2 is great wit the DVD's and all, but the xbox only plays dvd's wit the [1] on the back. PS2 plays all DVD's. Oh, i have Xbox. I like PS2 better, personnally. I don't play xbox a lot.
3: I would love to get the Micro and Revolution. The PS3 will be too expensive and 360 too. I'll jus get them 4 Christmas. I could get the Revolution and micro on my own. When I first played Mario, i wanted to beat every mario game they came out with. I'm still trying. Zelda,Metroid and other NINTENDO games r kewl too.

This is three or even four reasons why the Nintendo Revolution will not only beat the XBOX, but also the PS3

1.Cost: Nintendo is the only videogame/console company that truly profits, even to the point of being one of the most profitable companies in the world making 75 billion to Sony?s 80 billion (ALL OF SONY!) That is amazing; with only 10% of the market, Nintendo has been the most profitable. Why? Low production costs coupled with conservative fiscal policies allow them to gain more money with less. It only cost Nintendo close to a $100 to make a Nintendo DS, so they gain $50 per sale. It costs Sony $275 to make a PSP, which sells for $250, thus loosing Sony money! This is what happens when X-BOX is made: Microsoft looses money, not gains, looses! The same will happen with the PS3 and the XBOX360, they will loose money due to enormous production costs. Think people, it costs $375 dollars to make and XBOX, how much do you think it?ll costs to create systems 10 to 30 times more powerful. And this brings us to our second issue, graphics.

2. Graphics: Let?s say I give you two glasses of plain water, both filtered, same temperature. Can you truly say there is a distinct difference between them? No you can?t! The differences are so microscopical that your senses are far to weak to distinguish between the two. Now, if one cost 2 dollars while the other cost 4 dollars, which would you choose? THE CHEAPER ONE (hopefully, if you have a brain)! This what will happen with the NRV and it?s competition. Anyone that has played Resident Evil 4 or likewise, knows how good the Gamecube?s graphics can be. Imagine 3 times that! But you might say, ?The PS3 and XBOX are have 10 to 30 times better graphics than their predecessor!? I?d say, ?Yeah, but the graphical differences would be so microscopical that your naked eye would never be able to distinguish between the two.? The difference, Nintendo achieves that graohical quality with less, as in only one expensive graphics card. The PS3 and XBOX360 graphics are overkill. They do nothing but increase production costs, and thus sales costs. ?But, the PS3 and XBOX360 will have better games,? you might say. Well... on to my next point.

3. Third Parties and the Online Connection: The real reason that the Gamecube did not have numerous 3rd party games was simple: no online access. Look at every XBOX and many PS2 games, they almost always have online playability. It?s not that they don?t like Nintendo, which is probably the most respected game company, but they couldn?t make their games on the GCN, because most people bought games like ATV offroad simply for the Online gaming. Thus by the NRV having superb internet access, and lower costs than Sony to publish games (Nintendo and XBOX360 (which will be beat by Sony) use HD-DVDs while Sony uses Blu-Ray DVDs; HD-DVDs are 50% cheaper to publish than Blu-Ray DVDs (which Sony will have to use because they make them; what kind of signal would it send if even Sony doesn?t use it?s technology?!) The NRV will also be able to integrate games that publishers make on the Nintendo DS. And because the PS3 and XBOX360 have microscopically better graphics, it will cost more money and take more time to make PS3/XBOX360 games. Only giants like EA will be able to make games on the PS3/XBOX360, while smaller developers will make maybe one game on them. This will make the NRV more appealing for third parties. Why make a game on the PS3/XBOX360 when you can make a game that?s just as good, with better internet acces, NDS connectibility, and is cheaper to publish, and thus more profitable, on the Nintendo Revolution? It truly could be Nintendo?s Revolution.

Also, the PS3?s controller is gay and both the PS3/XBOX360 look like shit compared to the slick ass Nintendo Revolution.

As time goes on, I feel Nintendo is the only console company left that realizes many people don't want to spend ridiculous amounts of money every 5 years to enjoy the latest in gaming. I'll be surprised if both Microsoft & Sony hit their proposed price points on their new consoles. Even with economies of scale, all it means is they lose less money per hardware sale. They are still acquiring debt for the sake of market share. Nintendo on the other hand routinely understates the specs. of their consoles at a given price point until release. I wonder if anyone remembers that the gamecube initially had a cpu listed 405 Mhz during development which was later upgraded to 485 Mhz. This was done without affecting the price point of the console. One day MS & Sony may find that they have developed consoles that are priced beyond the scope of the existing market.

Huzzah to Chris. That boy has done some serious studying! I agree that Nintendo, whether they are winning or losing, employs much sturdier policies than the others. Also, Nintendo seems the most balanced of all. I also think it's pretty smart that Nintendo is able to sell a Gamecube for $50 less than a PS2 with a faster processor (if my memory serves me correctly), better graphics (mostly in my opinion), and still make a profit.

Also, Nintendo may have made a slight mistake by not going to disc, but the reasons they didn't prove how wise they are. I, for one, will not stand for obnoxious load times. With Gamecube, I hardly notice them. My experiences with the original PS and the PSP in particular have been painful when it comes to load times.

Not that I dislike the other companies, (although I have a default grudge against SONY for all the people with SONY superiority complexes) just that they don't have the right fit.

the revolution is so great I can't wait for it to come out.The free online play will be awesome with both the Ds and revolution.I have a nes,snes,n64,ds,gbc,ps2,and a gamecube,which means I'm going to get a revolution,and possibly a ps3. (that's if I have enough money,at my age(13)it going to be a hard journy but I hope I can get a revolution. Look guys theres no way revolution or Xbox 360 can put Playstation3 in last place because sony's psp destroyed the nintendo DS and those of you who are complaining with Playstation3 price it wont really matter because Sony's psp beat the DS even though Sony's psp price was high.So the same thing is going to happen with the three consoles just like psp won against the DS. Handheld wise i think Nintendo is going to loose its monopoly with the new psp out. Once the price drops on that i know many friends of mine who desire it. But i must express the stupidity of gameboy micro.... Why so small... i remeber i had to get a body armor for the SP because it was too small from my hands and without a little more grip and size my hands got cramps because i couldn't comfortably hit the buttons. Now with a 2 inch screen you can barly see and not to mention i will loose that thing so easily... what is the thing with that. Nintendo better pull it off with the revolution or get a better hand hend out there or there future is gone.

I work at Ciruit City so I can tell you plenty more about these systems then most internet searchers. as of today (sunday nov. 20) the Xbox 360 will be arriving on Tuesday the 22nd. Microsoft will only be shipping about 1 million to the U.S., and then NO MORE will be availible until AFTER CHRISTMAS (unless they really pump up productions, which I doubt can be done more so than now). Nintendo Revolution hasn't been issued any release date execpt that it will be released next year... for all we know it could be this time NEXT YEAR. Playstation 3 is being released in the spiring next year (probably because people get their income tax checks as one factor, and they want to have a large game library/ acessories availible). Despite xbox 360 having a faster processor, it means nothing in performance. apple processors run @ nearly 1/2 of pentium's speeds and yet they run at an equivalent performance rate. Basically, if you have a previous Xbox os PS 1/2, go with the same company so you have some games. With either however nintendo is good because it has the largest possible gaming library. I personally haven't decided which to buy but i want to stress PROCESSING POWER =/= PERFORMANCE.

I would also like to mention that the GBA MICRO is merely a small venture by nintendo. The PSP's comparable product, as mentioned by nintendo, is infact the nintendo DS. GBA micro is simply a small gameboy capable of playing ONLY gameboy ADVANCE titles that also has many diffrent faceplates.
Also the reason DS is competition is that while it lacks high quality graphics, it has a new and easy to use interfaxce as well as a price that is 1/2 that of the PSP. Incase you haven't realized the trend, nintendo ALWAYS attempts to be the most affordable system.

You cannot take anything away from Xbox's Halo franchize, you can say all that you like about how people like blowing up stuff and blood and M rated games, but the Halo games are good all around games, not just good graphics and blood and gore, great gameplay and especially multi-player. That said I am still a huge Nintendo fan, I like millions of others live for Super Mario Bros, but halo's multi-player is better than Smash Bros could ever be. Nintendo has the best games of any console despite what most people think. They have franchize games with good gameplay which is truly what makes a game great. PS3's specs are amazing, it has some power I can give it that much, but what good is it without good games, in my opinion useless. I cannon stand sony fanboys who buy there products simply because of the Sony name, learn to think for youselfs. Nintendo has many great things, people just use the fact that they have kids games as a reason not to buy there products, that is ridiculous and incredibly ignorant. An Xbox 360 is worth buying just because of how great the Halo games are, and wait until Halo 3.

nitendo revolution will have xbox graphics. psp has as good graphics as gamecube.xbox has much better graphics than gamecube. ds has some games that have N64 graphics, but most have gameboy advance style graphics. xbox 360 has 1000 times better graphics than revolution.i want a hotdog.
