Yahoo Gains on Google
Chomping at the bit to get in on the upcoming Google initial public offering? You might be interested in a bit of research that shows Yahoo tying the Google monster as a search destination.Google and Yahoo are neck and neck in Forrester Research’s twice-yearly Consumer Technographics survey of more than 60,000 households, Chairman and CEO George Colony told PC World this week. Uses were asked which portals or search sites they use at least once a week, and Yahoo and Google each scored with 40 percent of the respondents naming them. In the same study, MSN showed up with 23 percent, AOL 18 percent, and Ask Jeeves, 9 percent (respondents could name more than one, natch).
“Yahoo’s showing surprised us,” Colony said, adding that Forrester now expects Yahoo to surpass Google’s percentage in the first quarter of 2005. More details to come in PC World News.

Google all the way!
google is mainly a search engine. yahoo is a portal and a search engine. I think google is still the big winner.
google rules, and i like it, but when i check for stuff on yahoo, i hardly get anything, but with google, sometimes i get too much. the outcome: google rules, yahoo sucks
Yahoo's image search is actually better than Google's. Still, having more choices is better than having fewer choices.
The only reason google is so popular is because of the hype that surrounds it.
havent used google mostly yahoo Cant honestly say which is best just like yahoo.

When Google gets their hands on all of that IPO cash I'm sure we can expect a lot of useful features. I'm looking forward to using Google to search for a date...haha!
Google is just out of this world when it comes to searching , yahoo is good but since yahoo is a portal its a bit complicated

Google, when it comes to searching, its is most certainly the best. More and acurate results. Its image needs a little work. But Yahoo Isnt that bad either and has a lot to offer than just searching capabilities

Goggle is only good for searching. However, Yahoo is better as it has 100 MB free mail box
why dont you try search they both suck
Instead of proprietary business based search engines, shouldn't there be a public, open source, open platform search engine, akin to something you find at a public library?
How do you know your searched results have not been biased by either of these two dominant search engines? Or influenced by advertisers?

You people are stupid, as soon as google get's some more money, they will start charging everyone just like yahoo did when it first come out, Remember everybody went crazy for yahoo and now everything is paid for and soon for messenger too.
Yahoo is the winner and google is ok but too much hype for nothing.
