Ricoh: Multi-format DVD Player Coming in 2007 Q4

Not satisfied with just making the
ultimate optical disc reader, Ricoh announced that they'll be putting their component to good use in a
Blu-ray/HD DVD/DVD/CD player, expected to hit the shelves at the end of next year, with a burner coming sometime later.
And with that announcement, there is no longer any reason to buy an HD DVD or Blu-ray player for the next year and a half, unless you just have to be the first person on your block. Then again, if that's the case you've already emptied out your wallet, haven't you?
