Put the Sun to Work

solio.jpgBetter Energy Systems obviously doesn't think the sun does enough for us. It provides heat, light and life to our world, and now they want it to charge our MP3 players and cell phones.

Their Solio is a solar battery that can charge just about anything short of a laptop. There have been other solar chargers -- a favorite is Brunton's SolarPort -- but the Solio is the first I've seen that is stylish, compact (folded up, it's the size of a PDA, though a bit thicker) and stores its collected energy in a lithium-ion battery. Just stick it on the inside of a window (the suction cup's included) until you need it, and you've always got extra juice with you.
