Low-Cost Eee PC Laptop for Sale Soon

Originally announced at $199, the Eee PC laptop is now weighing in at $260 (here in the United States) and will be available starting mid-October, 2007. Pre-orders are being taken by AllAsus.com

I've been following commentary about the Eee PC laptop using Google Alerts. The most thoughtful article about the Eee PC was written recently by Serdar Yegulalp.

I'll be buying one of these laptops and blogging about it right here. An affordable laptop is a huge step forward for computing. Did Intel get it right with the design? All indications are that they did. Yet does this laptop contain any surprises you need to know about? You'll find out here.
